ROAAAARRR!!!

Please don't expect too much because the title won't have a relation with the content. I just like Katy Perry song and this article will retell my zoo visit story and both are related with animals.
Animals is Maroon 5's song but no I don't think it's related. So, before this short of opening speech goes far from the essence, sit back and relax. Enjoy reading!

JATIM PARK 2 (BATU SECRET ZOO & FAUNA MUSEUM)

FAUNA MUSEUM

Whoaaa finally we got the chance to visit this phenomenal tourism destination! My first impression here was, "Is this really in Indonesia?". Google didn't deceive me because the reality beyond prediction, Batu Secret Zoo was totally a place you gotta visit again and again. The funny thing was, in the middle of our conversation while taking a walk around the venue, we discussed about our willingness to bring out our "children-to-be-in-the-future" to play and study both in EGP and JP 2. Haha silly conversation among single ladies.

Back then, first of all, we entered the building that's looked so eye-catching. It looked like US Parliamentary Building, uniquely flanked by 2 giant elephant statues. This is how it's looked like.

That building was actually a Fauna Museum which kept hundreds collection of animal replicas. When visitors entered the main gate, they would be welcomed by a giant bird cage. Visitors could enter the cage and enjoy photo-taking. In the second room, visitors would be amazed by giant Dinosaurs skeleton replicas.

The museum itself displayed hundreds collection of animals replicas that were separated by zones. The zones included Asia, Africa, Antartica, etc. The management managed the animal replicas inside the glass box and decorated them as similar as in their own habitat. There were also the brief information under the display, so it would be easier for the visitors to read and understand. For me myself, the museum was quite boring because we only saw the unreal animals since I had interacted with the real ones previously. So my suggestion, if you gonna visit JP 2 someday, that will be not much loss if you skip this one. Hehe.

BATU SECRET ZOO

I promise myself not to give so much spoiler for you who haven't visit this place before and I definitely suggest you to witness it by yourselves! Since I often visit zoo, bird park, reptile park, safari park, etc in my travelling, this Batu Secret Zoo is one of the best. Like really!
First, lemme pose a little bit ;)

The picture above was the first zone after visitors entering the main gate. Literally, that was Monkey Zone, a home of various monkey species. They were organized neatly inside the stables. They could hang from branch to branch freely and of course cutely. Look at the visitors walking path, it was sooo clean.

I am quite difficult to describe the whole zoo because I forget every single zones. Something that I remember is every corner was worth to be looked closer. I took a very close step to Iilama, even tiger (we only separated by glass). My favorite zone was African area, it was colorful and there were corridor where we could see African Animals inside the glass. Nocturnal fishes zone were interesting as well.

In the middle of tour, there were an entertainment area, including many adrenaline-pumping rides, games, and live show. We couldn't believe that we only paid IDR 80k for this breathtaking experience in one package. Then, we decided to watch live seal performance. Their name were Willy and Larro, they were totally coool! Look at the way Laro hugged his trainer, sweet sweet :*

We also took the safari ride into the zones where we could feed the animals directly with our hands from the van. Ulala! Staffs said that we should be careful with the camels because they often surprise the visitors with their saliva-spitting-when-they-are-shocked. Since (again) I am not an-adrenaline-pumping maniac, so I waited my friends took the rides and just took care their bags. We also canceled our plan to enter the haunted house, it was so scary (IMHO). My favorite activity was riding the bom bom car! We did it again and again and again, I loved the way my car bumped into other cars.

We killed quite long times in this zone until the zoo was closed (almost dusk). I didn't have any idea that we were exactly still on our half way to the end of the journey. There were still some zones such as tiger land, giraffe, elephant, so on. I was lil bit disappointed because the animals weren't displayed anymore on our way to the exit gate. I promise myself to surely come back again someday.

Still in the area of JP 2, there was a hotel that looked like giant tree. Yes, that one was Pohon Inn (Pohon means tree). If you were kind of tourist with good pocket money, you could book one of Pohon Inn best room, you could see the Batu Secret Zoo view from the President suit room. They also had a cool restaurant where you could dine with the tigers only separated by glass. Other restaurant provided different nuance by giving you a jungle-looked-alike experience. One day, I'll do my booking here.
