The Monochromatic

"Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance." - Coco Chanel

Black and White have it. We can go through both formal and informal look only by combining these two colors. Today, I do the mix and match with white basic shirt (that used to be my college uniform) and black flowery maxi skirt. Complete the outfit with tribal pattern hijab and chain necklace.

Simple, modest, classy.

P.S. Sorry for the Outfit of The Day typical photo instead of an artistic photo. I need a personal photographer one day ;)

Now, I'll show you another way of styling my tribal pattern hijab into a super cool vest/outer. I love this hijab because it has quite fair length and it's also super wide, so you can do some experiment into that stuff.
I wasn't afraid at all to combine black and white to be my holiday outfit in Bali. Yes, Bali! I wore a black long sleeve and white mermaid skirt in Bali's (quite) hot weather. You must be wondering how could I did that, well I did curious too. I admit that I wore a wrong costume to be my travel companion, especially a beach hopping. But, what can I say, it's happened haha. Some foreigners put their curious eyes on me, but I don't care anyway.
Luckily, my long sleeve material made from cotton and I was comfortable enough in that. My white mermaid skirt is another problem. Why? because it is white! so when I sat down anywhere (because I am so clumsy), it was getting dirty easily :(
Whatever it is, I'm going to present my black and white combination match for a vacation!
P.S. I suggest you don't follow my experience to wear this on some kind of beach trip ;)

Flowers Invasion

Flowers Invasion is related with summery look. Young, fresh, colorful, and bright.

I interpret those lines with personal point of view by wearing the flowery-look-alike tie dye skirt. To keep the total look in harmony, blend combination of pink fuschia and purple is also supported by the color of long outer and basic headscarf. I also mix the total outlook with a strong orange color from my ethnic handbag (almost look like a rattan basket) and my wedges.

The skirt itself is made from cotton fabric, that's why the material is light, smooth, and feeling "fresh and cool". The material of the long outer is made from spandex cotton, it also very comfortable to wear.

Don't forget to wear a flower crown to strengthen the summer atmosphere!
P.S. I made the flower crown by myself ;) I'll make another crown from original fresh flowers someday.
you can check my other DIY fashion project in my personal DIY Instagram account @diyartworks

From what you can see, yes, I have quite curvy body, but It doesn't bother me so much because I believe I still can be extraordinary with my fashion style

The Dots Attack!

Yeay Finally I start to post some outfit photos. This project is actually spontaneously planned. I joined a Hijab Outfit of The Day Photo Contest on Instagram, that was held by @hijabootdindo. The idea came up from nowhere and I just registered myself without anyone permission. Basically I like to take fashion photos. You have to know first that I am not that tall, not that slim, not that white, and not that pretty, I am just, you know, ordinary me. So, whatever I am I'm so grateful to be born as me and proud to be myself.

I also believe that the originality is on me, not in what I wear. So, I try to create my different interpretation of hijab fashion. Fashion should not always new or expensive, sometimes you can dig in your Mom's closet and you can find something magical. Her old leather handbag or Flare skirt. For me, fashion is about your confidence to show your own soul expression, arts of dressing, and total inner beauty in one package. So, I stand on freedom of expression! Here is my artworks! Pardon me for being not really photogenic ;)

I'm played in dots, mixed black and red that always be a great combination, classy and elegant. Somehow, the are a classic touch in the total outlook.

Who I am

I'm so on fire to pursue my blog articles target haha.

Dreamers, I've wrote my first article without introducing myself first. I am Ika Hapsari, people usually call me Ika. I am 22 year old, Indonesian. I've graduated from college last year, exactly on 23rd October 2013 from Indonesian State College of Accountancy or Sekolah Tinggi Akuntansi Negara (STAN) in Jakarta majoring Taxation. Now, I am being a temporary jobless because I wait for the National Exam to be an Indonesia Ministry of Finance servants. It's already 8 months by the way.

Me on the left, the shortest one

As a student of government's college, I don't have much opportunities to express my life. I was really busy with college life that took only 3 years, yes I am only a diploma. Meanwhile, my friends in the other university have already took a student exchange chance, conference meeting, or only take a vacation outside the country. Sometimes I envy to them, but sometimes I am grateful for what God have given to me because many people wants my position too bad.

Being a civil servant never been on my occupation dream list. I want to be an engineer in the first place and I want to study in my forever-being-my-favorite-university-gonna-be, Gajah Mada University or Universitas Gajah Mada (UGM) , which is located near my home, taking industrial engineering or chemical engineering. But, God better plan bring me to the 180 degrees in different path. At least, I'll ursue my parents' dream first, then I'll pursue mine.

It's happening very often in my 8 months of undefinable job status  that I've wasted one year of my life doing something unproductive. I was only laying on my bed watching my favorite TV show or shopping and browsing instead of getting out from my comfort zone and finding a temporary job to get money. When I realized from my weird period of time I just remembered, what I have done? I forgot anything and time flies so fast.

So here I am, sitting on my bed, blogging...

Hope you 'll enjoy my writings dreamers

Love y'all

Hi Universe!

Fashion Blogging become so popular recently. Hijab girls are racing to share their outfit snapshot in their blog and of course in their Instagram account. It becomes a lifestyle here in my country, girls think that being a fashion blogger is the easiest way to be famous and succeed. Hence, they don't know the efforts behind it, a sacrifice, a consistency, a huge intention are needed. It's a series of years hard works, passion, fortune, and material resource. A good looking face and perfect height and curves are bonuses (that are essentials).

No wonder that some of them are finally succeed. People usually call them "selebgram" (the Instagram famous artists). In 2014 the popularity of Instagram account increases quite high, it brigs those fashion bloggers name are flagged. They are gradually post their outfit of the day stuffs, tutorial hijab, or some random landscape pictures. Why I talk about fashion hijab or headscarf because me myself wearing it. I put a big concern about hijab fashion this genre becomes a new "hit" in fashion industry, especially in Indonesia. Selebgram who comes from being a fashion blogger are well-known with their ability to do mix and match a modesty outfit. I learn a lot from them and I know that they are truly inspiration.

Unfortunately, I don't want to be addicted, over obsessed, and being a fashion slave like what hijab girls mostly do nowadays. Why? it simply because I don't have a tall and slender body, a pretty flawless face, a white skin like they do. Once again, I am just an average looking girl that like to share my thoughts, that's all.

If you finally find some posts after this in this blog bringing you to the opposite meaning of what I have said above, remember, don't judge! I also a girl that want to be seen and heard, love expressing myself, and do some experiment. This is my passion for so long......So, shortly I just wanna say (although it's already too late) yes finally I make a blog.

This blog doesn't have theme, so whatever it drives me, I'll followed it beautifully.

Love y'all!
